This is a Full-time position in Spartanburg, SC posted May 14, 2022.

DescriptionForklift OperatorGeorgia-Pacific is looking for Forklift Operators for our Spartanburg, SC corrugated packaging facility.

In this role, you will have the exciting opportunity to join a close-knit team dedicated to safety.

Motivated individuals are encouraged to apply!Hours for shifts are as follows:1st Shift: 7:00 am 3:00 pm2nd Shift: 3:00 pm 11:00 pm3rd Shift: 11:00 pm 7:00 am (Starts Sunday night)Employees in this role are required to be available to work first, second, or third shift.

This will include overtime, holidays, and weekends.

Spartanburg operates on a points-based attendance program.Starting wages are $18.75 per hour with shift differentials of 2nd shift $.50 per hour & 3rd shift $.25 per hour.

You will have the ability to increase your compensation based on skills and contribution to the overall performance of the plant.

Eligible for 2 weeks’ Vacation after 6 months of service.What You Will Do In Your RoleSafely operate a 10,000 lb., sit-down forklift to load and unload trailersEnsure loads are properly secured and in good conditionEnsure accurate record keeping for all inbound and outbound shipmentsAdhere to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and proceduresPerform general housekeeping duties to keep work areas clean and free of safety hazardsPull whip and raw material for production supportVerify receipts, load sheets, and other required paperworkComplete inventory/department documentation (both manually and with the use of a computer software system)Work as part of a team to meet production and quality goalsPerform basic preventive maintenance and fuel equipmentPerform assigned tasks that include lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing, and/or pulling and support our safe working environment by wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), i.E.; safety glasses, hearingprotection, steel-toe boots and other PPE required by specific jobs)Willing to work any shift, holidays, weekends, and overtime as necessaryThe Experience You Will BringRequirements:High school diploma or GEDTwo years or more experience operating a forklift safely in a fast-paced manufacturing, industrial or warehouse environmentMust be able to obtain and maintain a Georgia Pacific mobile equipment license and other permits for operating mobile equipmentWhat Will Put You AheadExperience driving a forklift in a converting facilityExperience driving an electric lift truckExperience driving a clamp truckExperience using a computer for record-keeping and documentation functionsOur goal is for each employee, and their families, to live fulfilling and healthy lives.
