Owner’s Rep Construction Project Manager

This is a Full-time position in North Myrtle Beach, SC posted June 20, 2022.

We’re working with a beach-based firm that is looking for an in-house construction manager to represent them on new senior living and multifamily projects . This Project Manager will also be the construction Subject Matter Expert and will assist local properties in the Southeast with ongoing renovations.

This is a large firm with a genuine culture. Employees have long tenures and are deeply respected by senior management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with the development team to provide insights and develop best practices for new construction projects and property renovations.
  • Work closely with the small in-house construction team to ensure all properties are built on time and under budget.
  • Review contract documents.
  • Work with architects, engineers, and general contractors to accomplish new build goals.
  • Assist facility managers with ongoing renovations.
  • Travel to project sites throughout the Southeast as needed (expect 1x per week).
  • Inspect construction sites and report necessary updates to stakeholders.
  • Attend construction meetings as needed.

Skills & Qualifications

  • 4+ years construction experience
  • 4+ years project management experience
  • Experience on $30M+ projects
  • Ability to travel as needed (up to 20%)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Advanced Excel), Procore, Plangrid, or other project management software
  • Preconstruction experience (a plus)
  • Multifamily or senior living experience (a plus)
  • Experience with P6 (a plus)
  • Bachelor’s or above in construction management, civil engineering, or related field
