Automation Engineer (2200246) – Seneca, SC

Where the Chemistry Happens

We will rely on your expertise in control system programming to contribute to life cycle strategy and planning efforts for our site control systems, as well assist with training efforts for the site. You will collaborate with the Operations team to execute programming modifications that improve plant performance and reliability, and to ensure operating plans are performed per established guidelines.

Qualifications – BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

Formula for Success

Leveraging your strong educational background and work experience in an Engineering capacity, you will identify Lean opportunities and support the execution of continuous improvement efforts in both process and automation.

Your strong understanding of Process Safety Concepts will be critical as you provide technical support for risk assessments on Management of Changes to ensure plant safety is not jeopardized.

Successfully engaging across the business, you will partner with project engineers, data historians, and other key technical personnel to complete commissioning phases of capital projects that involve automation.

Your expertise in a variety of programming languages including, but not limited to, the list below, will serve as a valuable resource as you maintain the health and functionality of PLC system hardware, software and network, such as FactoryTalk View Studio, PlantPAx, RSLogix 5000, and VMware vSphere,
