Join General Dynamics IT and be a part of a team that solve some of the world’s most complex technical challenges. The Navy’s Enterprise Authoritative Data Environment (eADE) system team is seeking a Senior API Developer to join their team. This is a remotely supported position.
The program overall will maintain Navy O&M and Research/Development/Test and Evaluation (RDTE) for Navy Personnel and Pay systems. The eADE team will apply an authoritative data sharing framework that supports data analytics and business intelligence functions to the HR systems.
Responsibilities:
Design and develop REST APIs / other software components that are the core foundational blocks for integration with partner systems.
Contribute to best practices, develop solutions leveraging best-in-class technologies, including, but not limited to COTS products.
Prepare documentation like API Swagger, deployment instructions, and training documents for APIs and other solutions.
Scope, prioritize, and coordinate tasks with lead and PM.
Basic Qualifications:
BS degree; additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree
10+ years experience designing and building software applications, esp. in data management domain
Working experience with either Java, JavaScript, .NET or Python. Proficient in SQL and Oracle database.
Hands on experience in designing and developing high-volume APIs and web services
Experience with data integration, REST API, Web Services, and COTS Integration solutions.
Security+ Secret clearance
Desired Qualifications/Skills:
Hands on experience with API Management platform like WSO2 API Manager
1+ year experience in Scala/DataBricks/Kafka
Hands on experience with AWS cloud
