Aquatics Coordinator

Responsibilities Include: Under the direction of the Aquatics Director and consistent with the Christian mission, the Aquatics Coordinator is responsible for prioritizing the safety of all members, program participants and staff while fostering the Y’s culture and engagement.  The Aquatics Coordinator’s main focus will be on deck: pool operation, pool maintenance, programming and staff support.  This position will act on behalf of the Aquatics Director in their absence, and, at all times, shall work within the guidelines of the aquatic policies in accordance with the mission, purposes and polices of the association.

Minimum Requirements:

• 21 years of age with Red Cross Lifeguard Certification


• At least 2 years supervisory/management experience


• Must have an enthusiastic personality, be mature, decisive, and responsible and must be able to put the needs of members and program participants ahead of his/her own needs. 


• Applicants should have the ability to multi-task, relate effectively to diverse groups of people, and have excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills


• Be aware of YMCA movement and trends in the aquatic field


• Must have satisfactory outcome of background check prior to starting employment

Starting Salary: $14/hr

Schedule:  Up to 40 hours per week (may include early mornings, afternoons, evenings and weekends)
