Summary: This position will provide child and family therapy to Safe Harbor clients, helping them navigate emotional, behavioral, and mental health challenges related to domestic abuse. The therapist will use a variety of therapeutic techniques to improve family dynamics, enhance communication, and promote healthy development in children. The therapist may also facilitate support groups as needed. This therapist will be based primarily in Greenville County but may also assist in Anderson County or Oconee County, as needed. This is a full time, hourly, non exempt Β position eligible for full benefits.

Job Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify the unique needs of each client.
Β
Develop individualized care plans that address trauma-related symptoms, behaviors, and long-term goals.
Β
Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques and trauma-focused interventions with children and families, helping them address the emotional and psychological effects of trauma. Conduct both individual and family sessions to meet the diverse needs of clients.
Β
Offer immediate crisis intervention and support to clients experiencing emotional distress, ensuring their safety and well-being.
Β
Educate children and families about the impact of trauma on their mental health and empower them with coping strategies and skills to manage their symptoms.
Β
Make appropriate referrals to other services such as legal assistance, support groups, and community resources as needed.
Β
Maintain accurate and confidential client records, documenting progress, treatment plans, and interventions in compliance with agency policies and legal requirements.
Β
Collaborate with other members of the agency, including case managers, advocates, and medical personnel, to ensure a holistic and coordinated approach to client care.
Β
Participate in Safe Harbor staff meetings, team meetings, trainings, and continuing education.
Β
Enthusiastically support and model the mission and vision of Safe Harbor to peers, clients, and the community.

Perform other tasks and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
