High School Diploma or experience in the food service industryĀ 

Experience in cooking for,Ā serving,Ā and engagingĀ large groups of peopleĀ 

Culinary Sanitation Certification in compliance with DHEC standardsĀ 

Ability to stand/walk forĀ long periodsĀ of time to perform jobĀ responsibilitiesĀ 

Proven ability to work independently while staying aligned with the priorities of the supervisorĀ 

Knowledge of PC-based software andĀ kitchenĀ equipmentĀ 

Serv SafeĀ CertificateĀ preferredĀ

Position Responsibilities ā€“ (working with commercial appliances (high temperature hot/cold), knives/utensils, heavy/frequent heavy, and fast lifting, remembering precise ingredients/recipes/portions/volume and managing time current schedules ā€“ fast pace ā€“ high volume/frequency activity).Ā 

  1. Properly prepare healthy, nutritious meals according to menu
  2. Provide kitchen clean up, sanitation and maintenanceĀ 
  3. Maintain quality control of all kitchen operations
  4. Ensure proper food storage and rotation
  5. Welcome andĀ serveĀ everyone who comes for mealsĀ in a friendly and professionalĀ manner
  6. Engage donors and potential donors in a friendly and professional manner
  7. EncourageĀ andĀ assistĀ OG Works participantsĀ who areĀ assigned toĀ food service
  8. Encourage andĀ assistĀ those whoĀ volunteerĀ with food serviceĀ
