Β JOB TITLE: Β  Β Maintenance TechnicianΒ 

DIVISION: Β  Β  Β  AdministrationΒ 

SUPERVISOR: Β  Director of Maintenance

FLSA STATUS:Β Non-Exempt

JOB SUMMARY:Β Responsible for completing a wide range of home repairs across group homes located in metro Atlanta, Cartersville, and Griffin. Tasks include drywall repair, punch-out work, basic plumbing, carpentry, electrical work, painting, and appliance repair. Coordinate with maintenance vendors, track repair orders, and manage related expenses. Additionally, implement and maintain a preventive maintenance program for all properties and company vehicles. Position is β€œon-call” 24/7. Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include rotation of emergency call two weeks out of the month.

EDUCATION OR TRAINING REQUIREMENT:Β High School diploma or equivalent. Vocational training preferred

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:Β 5-10 years multi-site maintenance. Β Sound working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing and electrical, as well as carpentry. Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license, your own tools, ability to operate the Company van. Home repair experience preferred.Β

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:Β N/A

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Check NetFacilities daily and complete all assigned work orders within 10 days of receipt.Β 
  • Logically prioritize work orders to address health and safety matters as first priority.Β 
  • Remain on call to respond to emergencies 24/7, deploy to a home location as requested by Director of Maintenance.
  • Self-generate work orders when area of disrepair is observed.
  • Complete monthly preventive maintenance review of all assigned Β  Β  group homes, day program and vehicles.
  • Communicate with QI Coordinator and/or program director on all maintenance issues and emerging trends/problems.
  • Complete all work orders in a timely, professional and craftsman like fashion.
  • Track all expenditures and receipts via accounting policies.
  • Communicate with maintenance vendors as needed.
  • Develop and maintain positive and productive relationship with Β individuals served families, co-workers, and community members.
  • Maintain objectivity in position to set appropriate limits while working with served.
  • Β Support those served in their personal growth and development, respecting cultural, ethnic, spiritual, and individual differences.
  • Adhere to all agency policies and procedures and Health Care Facility Regulation, and DBHDD policies Rules and Regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Β

  • Must be able to perform physically demanding tasks and work in various environments.
  • Must be able to maneuver to occasionally access file cabinets, office machinery, and other location in the buildings/work locations.
