Position Overview:

The HVAC Lab Technician under general supervision, assists mechanical engineers in the planning and testing of mechanical components, equipment, and machinery.

Responsibilities

• Sets up and tests complete prototype units and subassemblies under operational conditions
• Devises, fabricates, and assembles new or modified mechanical components or assemblies.
• Record test procedures and results using numerical and graphical data.
• Helps prepare proposals, cost estimates and work load.
• Assist in establishing completion dates.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Requires at least 2 years related experience.
• Requires knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
