NDT Level II – UT Immersion Technician

We are a Rockwood company, the worldwide leader in NDT service and technology with over 3,000 technical professionals in Acuren, Hellier NDT Training, and Sperry Rail Service NDT firms run by NDT people Position Summary: Acuren is currently looking for qualified UT Immersion Technician to support our operations at our Cincinnati, Ohio location.

The UT Immersion Technician will be performing calibrations, Nondestructive Tests, and evaluations for acceptance or rejection determinations according to written instructions and record results.

UT Immersion Technicians are qualified to set up and calibrate equipment and to interpret and evaluate results with respect to applicable codes, standards, and specifications.

UT Immersion Technicians are thoroughly familiar with the scope and limitations of the method of NDT being used and should exercise assigned responsibility for on-the-job training and guidance of Assistants and Level I Technicians.

UT Immersion Technicians organize and report results of NDT.

Responsibilities:Conduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) using NDT methods of inspectionEstablish techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulationsApply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications or standards and evaluate resultsOrganize and report test resultsPlay a role in the development and implementation of advanced technical inspectionsMay instruct and supervise othersPerform other job related tasks as assigned by management Competencies:Excellent work ethicDependableExceptional safety and quality awarenessMechanical aptitudeAdaptable to changing schedulesExceptional attention to detailTeam workAbility to follow directions and proceduresExcellent communication skillsAbility to travel Requirements:High School Diploma or equivalentSome college preferred5
