Sales Engineer

This is a Full-time position in Ft Mill, SC posted October 13, 2021.

SUMMARY: The Regional Sales Engineer will actively pursue new and selected existing project opportunities and manage these projects either directly or in coordination with the Field Sales organizations (Manufacturer’s Sales Representatives) in the assigned region.

In addition, the Regional Sales Engineer will oversee new Manufacturer’s Sales Representatives and will act in support of the Manufacturer’s Sales Representatives with necessary site visits, analysis and proposals for customers in the assigned region.

The Regional Sales Engineer assists in the achievement of, and acts in support of, the sales of products into approved markets in support of assigned company goals and NFPA codes and standards.

This position is based in various key US locations and each Regional Sales Engineer has an assigned region as determined by contract. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Actively solicit for projects, new customers and product opportunities.

Use all available resources, internal and external, to research and develop new projects/customers to expand businessCollaborate effectively with Manufacturer’s Sales Representatives to increase territory sales maintaining positive OEM and distributor relationships.

Serve as internal sales support for Manufacturer’s Sales Representatives to achieve or exceed sales goals.Work collaboratively with other Engineers on all projects, including analysis calculations and proposals.Deliver quality service and solutions to internal and external customers in all assigned tasks, while upholding company values at all times to insure high customer satisfaction.Increase awareness of process risks and benefits of implementing safety solutions by explaining solutions with cost-benefits analysis.Support Manufacturer’s Sales Representatives by traveling to and assisting with analysis of customer site situation and developing product recommendations.Analyze manufacturing process, either on site or through blue prints and drawings, calculate required vent areas and recommend appropriate products for a given customer/OEM/representative.Familiarity with Dust Analysis Process and explosion safety -related NFPA codes and standards.Support and develop awareness-creation forums such as Table Top Conferences, Lunch & Learn, Panel discussions, Regional Industry conventions, conferences, trade shows andmeetings.

Recommend for approval all forums that are oriented towards qualified leads for new businessOther travel in support of sales or training meetings, and/or trade shows as required or requiredTroubleshoot issues with existing equipment and reduce response time for each active projectWork with company approved tools and assetManage and work collaboratively with new Manufacturer’s Sales RepresentativeAbility to achieve negotiations and close sales; vendor establishment Qualifications/Competencies/Position Requirements:Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Experience in working with and managing existing/new Manufacturer’s Sales RepresentativePrior Technical Sales Experience in manufacturing equipment or related industry with demonstrated prior record of achievement.

Participation in sales skills training a plus.Knowledge of REMBE® Inc.

Products & NFPA Codes & StandardsOrganizational skills for proper planning/managementGeneral understanding of Industrial Processes and the ability to look for issues and find solutions in industrial processesAbility to learn, retain and provide Product-specific information, Application & Technical Support Solutions of industrial processes as it pertains to the position.Excellent verbal, written and telephone skills supported by strong interpersonal skills and ability to work within a team structure.

Knowledge and use of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.Computer literacy required: Microsoft Office, database otherStrong Math and reasoning skillsExperience in the use of CAD equipment for preparing routine layouts a plus!
