Global Manufacturing Engineering Director – Food Preservation

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The Global Manufacturing Engineering organization is responsible for liberating the next wave of productivity, executing the next phase of modularization approach, leading the productivity & automation of manufacturing environments, and increasing collaboration across organizations, product lines, sectors and functions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Global Food Preservation BA NA manufacturing engineering leader to implement standard global processes and initiatives – capacity, equipment, processes, automation, DFM/A, modularity, etc.
• Supports and assists plants to achieve their business objectives.
• Deliver all projects On Time On Budget. Execution of actions to ensure success of all projects.
• Coordinate manufacturing engineering for the BA product line in coordination with Global PL manufacturing engineering. NPI, capacities/capabilities, plant projects, and people leadership.
• BA manufacturing leader for EPM & NPI. Owner of manufacturing deliverables and cross functional project partner in EPM & NPI.
• Ability to develop quick high level concepts and convert into project and capital plans for iterative reviews.
• Develop these high level concepts into detailed project plans – MS project timelines and budgets.
• Manage implementation of multiple projects at once directly and through project leaders/engineers.
• Provide regular written project updates to multiple operational leadership and senior company officers.
• Collaborate with Global product line manufacturing engineering and Product Development on DFM/A, Design of Automation, manufacturing requirements into the product design before release and input for engineering changes after release.
• Support manufacturing cost improvement efforts for business to plant floor, through process, product, people continuous improvement.
• Lead, develop, coordinate plant manufacturing engineering leadership and direct reports

TRAVEL & LOCATION REQUIREMENTS:

Travel is 30-50%, mainly between NA plants and product development centers.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor Degree in engineering is required
• Master Degree in engineering or operations managementBusiness preferred
• More than 15 years manufacturing, engineering, maintenance, product development experience.
• More than 5 years people and project team leadership experience.
• Project Management credentials preferred. Demonstrated experience leading large capital projects required.
