Entity/Organization: MUHA (Medical University Hospital Authority/Medical Center)Location: New Midlands Division Kershaw/CamdenHours per week: 40Scheduled Work Hours/Shift: DayFair Labor Standards Act Status: SalariedJob Summary/Purpose: Under limited supervision, the Compliance System Manager has responsibility for monitoring the day to day billing and regulatory activities of the MUHA divisions (Charleston, Florence & Lancaster) in furtherance of its compliance objectives. This role works with the Department System Director to plan for future institutional compliance needs.Minimum Training and Education: Bachelor’s degree required; Master degree in Business Administration or Health Administration preferred. A minimum of five years administrative experience in coding, reimbursement and training required. Coding certification required from American Health Information Association (AHIMA) or American Association of Professional Coders (AAPC). Knowledge of federal and state laws, and regulations and policies regarding compliance. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to interpret and effectively communicate laws and regulations to all Medical University Hospital and staff.Required Licensure, Certifications, Registrations: Coding certification required from American Health Information Association (AHIMA) or American Association of Professional Coders (AAPC).
