Plant HR Manager – Manufacturing(Allied Air)

Position Overview:

  • Reporting to the Senior HR Manger, the Plant Human Resources Manager directly supports a sublevel unit of the manufacturing plant to administer Human Resources policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for hourly and salaried populations in multiple functions of Human Resources being customer focused, a problem-solver, advocate for continuous improvement, and collaborative to execute solutions.
  • Uses multiple sources of data to generate solutions with input from other HR teammates to make recommendations to management before executing for results.

Responsibilities:

  • Hold themselves to a higher standard to exhibit the LII Code of Conduct and Core Values; including navigation of complex/sensitive employee related investigations which may result in termination interviews when necessary.
  • Manage and develop a team of Human Resource professionals to ensure that the organization’s Human Resource strategy is implemented effectively
  • Proactively anticipate and plan for long-term Human Resources needs and trends in partnership with business while being adaptable to critical day-to-day needs.
  • Collects and analyzes HR data to present to manager
  • Demonstrates sense of urgency with ability to prioritize (self and team) ensuring efficient and effective execution of tasks and assignments to meet business goals
  • Uses knowledge of various human resources functions, including staffing, compensation, benefits, training and employee relations to provide tactical HR support to employees
  • Executes HR processes (annual training, global employees survey, personnel changes, leave administration, etc.), ensuring 100% compliance
  • Recommends and drives execution of programs and policies that create or reinforce a positive employee relations atmosphere
  • Assists with and prepares internal employee communications regarding company policies
  • Counsels employees in the interpretation and application of human resources programs and coordinates recruitment, orientation, training, compensation, EEO and benefit activities

Qualifications:

  • Requires a Bachelors’ Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Requires at least 8 years related experience
  • Requires advanced knowledge of governmental regulations and general HR practices
  • Must have experience resolving a wide range of employee relations problems
  • Advanced ability to encourage communication and resolve conflicts is essential
  • Must have excellent written and verbal skills
  • Ability to make sound decisions and drive for results under ambiguous circumstances
  • Demonstrated hands on experience, willing to manage tactical functions
  • Experience with manufacturing operations preferred
  • Experience with high volume recruiting preferred
  • Experience leading and developing team(s) preferred
