We are seeking a customer-focused, compassionate Courier to provide for the delivery and return of blood products and materials to internal and external customers. You would be expected to comply with safety policies and procedures in the work area and always use applicable protective equipment to prevent exposure to potentially infectious blood and body fluids.ย ย
As a Red Cross Team member, you will take care of your team members โ show up for every shift and give 100% while youโre there. Interact in a positive, proactive, and customer-focused manner with both internal and external customers, demonstrating care and compassion at all timesโฏย

Key Responsibilities:ย
ย
Operate vehicle for the delivery of blood products and materials safely and within traffic laws.ย ย
Prepare for deliveries by verifying orders, loading vehicles, and maintaining route supply inventory to ensure prompt delivery of products to customers.โฏย ย ย
Document temporary storage and transportation of blood, blood products, and materials as required by internal and external regulatory requirements.ย ย ย
Provide customer service by giving basic information and interacting in a positive proactive manner with employees.ย ย ย
Maintain excellent vehicle conditions by keeping vehicle clean and checking fluid and gas levelsย ย
Provide shipping and receiving support as directed.ย ย ย ย

Standard Schedule: 8:30am - 5pm M-F on call required every other week Friday - Friday 5pm - 7am. You will get on call pay while on call.
Pay Information: $16 - $16.50 DOE
What you Need to Succeed:ย

High School or equivalent required.ย ย ย
Valid driverโs license and clean DMV record ย ย ย
Ability to drive for long periods of time .ย
ย
What Will Give You the Competitive Edge:ย

Previous experience with a messenger service or trucking companyย
ย
Physical Requirements:ย ย ย
Requires standing, stretching, stooping and bending for extended time periods.ย Lift, pull, push and move objects of up to 50 pounds.ย May work in walk-in refrigerator/freezers for periods of time.ย May be to wear protective clothing such as lab coats, gloves, face shields, etc.ย ย ย
