Heavy Equipment Operator

Rogers Group is currently seeking heavy machine operators with grading and asphalt experience for the Carolinas. Examples of machinery, dozers, track hoes, motor graders, backhoes, skit steers, dirt/base rollers, and Water Truck Drivers. This position will work on a grading crew building various projects such as commercial parking lots, city streets, county roads and interstate highways.

The successful candidate for this role will have at least 1 years of experience operating a Motor Grader or any of the machinery mentioned above to complete fine and finish grade work, and an uncompromising focus on safety excellence. Wages starting at $21.00/hr. for entry level candidates. Some positions require no experience and Rogers Group will train. Higher pay for skilled operators of heavy equipment

Qualifications:

• Uncompromising focus on safety excellence.
• Preferred minimum of 1 years of experience in fine grading sub-base to paver ready tolerances and or in an asphalt setting.
• Ability to operate equipment with a high degree of competency, skill, and proficiency and in challenging and unique terrain environments.
• Experience working with GPS control preferred.
• Perform servicing and maintenance of equipment as trained and directed by management.
• Perform daily pre-and post- inspections with appropriate documentation in compliance with company policies.
• Effective communication skills applicable to position.
• Properly follow all company policies and OSHA / MSHA / Environmental regulations for safe working procedures and environment.
• Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and nights when necessary.
• Team player.
• Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record.
• Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
