Under limited supervision, performs administrative work to support the daily operations of the Human Resources Department. Β Position isΒ responsible for the technical aspects of the Human ResourcesΒ department, such as recruitment efforts, verifying credentials, coordinating pre-employment testing and maintaining personnel files. Β Position reports to the Director of Human Resources.
Assists in various recruitment activities; prepares and places advertisements with various sources.
Performs technical tasks to maintain and update the computerized personnel system; performs data entry and file maintenance. Β Enter data into the time sheet software, TCP.
Provides information and assistance to the public and employees; assists in interpreting personnel policies and procedures.
Performs routine administrative tasks to support the daily operations of the department; answers incoming calls and provides information, takes messages, or forwards calls to appropriate location; responds to employment verification requests; prepares various reports and documents; issues requests for applicant information including licenses, criminal/credit history, and other necessary information; conveys information to hiring department; schedules employee pre-employment testing and background checks.
Provides assistance to the department with special personnel projects; assists in training, safety, worker's compensation and benefit administrative activities.
Attends meetings, serves on committees, and makes presentations as needed; represents the department at community events.
Communicates with supervisory employees, other departments, the public, and other individuals as needed to coordinate work activities, review status of work, exchange information and resolve problems; responds to requests for service or assistance.
Prepares or completes various forms, reports, correspondence and other documents. Β
Operates personal computer and other general office equipment as necessary to complete essential functions to include the use of MS Word, Excel, Outlook, online applicant tracking software (NeoGov), Naviline and Time Clock Plus.
Performs related duties as required.
Β
Associates degree in Business, Office Administration or related field with a minimum of three years of experience in an office or administrative support position or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must be proficient in MS Word and Excel and have the ability to do mail merges. Β Must be able to maintain confidentiality, have strong interpersonal and organizational skills. Β Prefer a minimum of three years- experience in Human Resources.
Pay depends on experience. Β The starting salary is $45,531.20.
