Marketing/Media Intern

Advantage Media and Forbes Books have an exciting opportunity for a talented intern to assist the Marketing & Media Services team in executing and managing activities, both corporate and member-driven, that help the organization meet strategic growth objectives.

Core Responsibilities

  • Media monitoring and news listeningΒ 
  • Updating and optimizing media platforms for optimal client positioning
  • Collection and management of background materials and project assetsΒ 
  • Provide support in documenting member feedback during revision rounds of deliverablesΒ 
  • Drafting and publishing blog posts/articles to client websites in WordPress
  • Assist teams with department reporting needs and communications on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis
  • Assist with social media content capture and creation
  • Support coordination, logistics, and set-up for in-office client events
  • Assist with general office administrative duties as necessary

Competencies

  • Interest in media with an eye for trending newsΒ 
  • Familiarity with WordPress or similar content management system (CMS)
  • Familiarity with MailChimp or a similar customer relationship management system (CRM)Β 
  • Familiarity with Monday.com or similar project management system, highly encouraged
  • Understanding of media best practices
  • Excellent communication skills with an eye for detail
  • Familiarity with creating engaging social media content a plus
  • Familiarity with SEO best practices a plus

Work Environment

  • This job operates in a professional office environment. This role regularly uses a laptop as well as online cloud-based file management systems (such as Dropbox, Google Drive, etc.) and participates in online video-based (Zoom, Google Meet) calls. This role may also have a direct phone line via Cytracom.
