Director of Operations: School Health
The Montefiore School Health Program (MSHP), which consists of comprehensive school-based health centers (SBHCs), is seeking a Director of Operations. The Director of Operations will work under the Director of MSHP, to ensure that organizational goals relating to Operations, Quality, and Finance are carried out through daily operational activities. This includes overseeing a network of 34 SBHCs with a focus on performance improvement, revenue cycle, patient experience, and staff development and engagement that is based on data metrics. This is an on-site position, and no hybrid available.

Responsibilities:
•    Overseeing the administration of federal, state and city service requirements and following MMG/MMC standards. Ensures departmental-wide compliance with corporate, clinical, administrative and institutional policies and procedures.
•    Assures compliance with all regulatory entities, both internal and external to include but not limited to, TJC, NYSDOH, NYCDOHMH, OMH, VFC, HRSA, OSHA and state and federal regulations.
•    Achieves financial goals and measures, monitors financial performance, and ensures the on-going financial performance of the MSHP under the direction of the Program Director.
•    Collaborates and coordinates with division directors, departments and institutional administrators and school communities to ensure a cooperative effort in department operations and objectives.
•    Provide all clinical staff with operational support needed to increase productivity, revenue and patient satisfaction.
•    Oversee the preparations and monitoring of MSHP’s revenue, expense and capital budgets.
•    Supervision of MSHP Administrative Operations Team that includes hiring, evaluation & discipline of operational staff.
•    Lead efforts to improve quality scores, score card metrics and other operational projects as assigned by the Director of the Program.

Abilities and Requirements: 
•    Bachelors required in related field; Master’s preferred.
•    At least 5 years of demonstrated managerial/supervisory skill working with large and inter-disciplinary teams in a health care setting with a deep understanding of laws and regulations pertaining to healthcare.
•    High level fiscal, organizational development and administrative management skills specific to ambulatory, hospital, health care setting and/or a health care regulatory agency.
•    Experience with EMR, Workforce management, Microsoft Office Suite and Medical Billing, required. Epic preferred.
•    Outstanding critical thinking skills, and interpersonal skills to handle sensitive issues and supervise a large and diverse staff in handling these matters.
•    High degree of analytic ability to manage performance and quality improvement, financial, and human resources aspects of the position.
•    Outstanding organizational skills are necessary to manage many competing timetables and responsibilities. Ability to delegate and effectively supervise and plan for the timely and successful completion of short- and long-term objectives.
•    Excellent verbal and written communication skills to communicate effectively with a large and diverse constituency, including senior hospital leaders, divisional leaders and associates, NYCDOE administrators, government agencies, granting agencies and vendors.

Hours: Monday to Friday 800A – 430P

Associates are eligible to apply for a lateral transfer after completion of one (1) year of service in their present position, with the following exception: an Associate who has received a written warning is not eligible for a transfer/promotion prior to six (6) months from date of issuance; an Associate who has been suspended is not eligible for transfer/promotion prior to one (1) year from date of suspension. Part-time Associates who have completed their probationary period can move to full-time vacancies within their department provided such movement will not unreasonably reduce the operational efficiency of that department. Probationary period is six (6) months for full-time employees, and four (4) months for part-time employees who works more than 3/5 of the normal workweek.
