Lancaster County is a county-based ALS emergency medical service. Β Our shifts run on a 24/48 schedule. Β We have 8 stations and run 9 ALS units, 3 QRVβs. Β Our annual call volume runs close to 20,000 calls. Β We offer State benefits including state retirement.Β
The Paramedic works within a family-oriented environment to deliver emergency care to the citizens and visitors of Lancaster County. As a Paramedic, you will work alongside other healthcare providers in the provision of Advanced Life Support (ALS) and customer service-focused care.
Qualifications
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift, push, pull, and lift using safe techniques.
Sit, stand, walk, etc. for long periods of time within 24-hour shift.
Ability to work in extreme temperatures as well as environmental conditions.
Ability to successfully mitigate stressful situations with co-workers, other healthcare providers, patients, and the public.
