Job Responsibilities

Training Coordinator II/Instructor
TheΒ Division of State Human Resources is looking to fill a role on our Learning and Organizational Development (LOD) Team! We are currently seeking a Training Coordinator II/Instructor to work with the Certified Public Manager (CPM) and LeadSC programs and train courses for open enrollment and other customized trainings. This position will also assist in the development of a new Train-the-Trainer program for internal and statewide delivery. This is an exciting role, and we look forward to having you apply!Β 

Responsibilities of the Training Coordinator II/Instructor:
  • Assist in coordinating open enrollment and customized classes. Support the management functions of LeadSC and CPM certification programs. Assist in coordinating classes, participant attendance and other logistics for assigned courses. Coordinate the administrative functions of the assigned programs, including communicating with participants and instructors verbally and in writing.
  • Design and develop training content utilizing appropriate training methods. Create and develop course content ensuring the use of Adult Learning Theory. Organize and develop training programs to meet specific requests or identified training needs. Ensure manuals, facilitator guides and other learning tools are up to date. Apply the Department of Administration and the Learning and Organizational Development team's style standards for all course creations.
  • Consult and coordinate with agencies to provide customized training based on needs assessments. Instruct soft skill courses and facilitate group sessions. Design curriculum to meet customers' developmental needs and provide direction and guidance on related classroom issues. Ensure all necessary class materials are printed, packed and finalized prior to assigned training sessions.
  • As needed, maintain the role of the Learning Management System (LMS) administrator. Input and update class and participant information into the LMS when necessary.Β 
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum and Additional Requirements

A bachelor's degree, relevant training and development program experience and two (2) years of training delivery experience.

Additional Requirements:
Knowledge of methods for designing, administering, and evaluating training courses and programs. Knowledge of how to conduct conferences, lead discussions and instruct training groups. Ability to communicate, both verbally and in writing, in a clear and effective manner. Ability to serve as an internal and external consultant. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Ability to plan and manage projects. Skill in utilizing Microsoft Office products.
