We are seeking an Experienced Assembly Technician to join our dynamic team in the industrial gas turbine sector. Key Responsibilities:

Precision Assembly: Accurately assemble and fit complex components for industrial gas turbines, ensuring all parts meet the specifications.

Mechanical Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues during assembly, using your hands-on mechanical knowledge to ensure peak performance.

Blueprint Reading: Interpret engineering blueprints, schematics, and manuals to ensure precise assembly of components.

Quality Assurance: Inspect and test in-process and completed assemblies to ensure compliance with quality standards.

Collaboration: Work closely with engineering and quality control teams to continuously improve assembly processes.


Qualifications:

Experience: 5+ years of hands-on mechanical assembly experience, preferably in the industrial gas turbine industry, automotive, aerospace, or related mechanical fields.

Mechanical Aptitude: Strong understanding of mechanical systems, able to read technical drawings and troubleshoot mechanical issues.

Attention to Detail: Ability to focus on quality and precision while working in a fast-paced environment.

Team Player: Strong communication skills with a collaborative attitude toward achieving team goals.

Requirements

  

SUMMARY OF DUTIES:

Provides technical expertise and training to others to prepare, clean, assemble, and test various production units to ensure full satisfaction of customers 


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Receive, check, and verify sub-parts needed for work orders and jobs; resolve any discrepancies

· Prepare and clean product using various methods including water and compressed air

· Assemble all units correctly using parts list, drawings, specifications, and procedures

· Prepare and clean product using various methods: compressed air, water, deburring, etc. 

· Test assemblies at both in-process and final check points as per documented test procedures


SPECIFIC DUTIES ASSIGNED:

Cleaning, Preparation, Assembly & Test 

· Follow specific written and oral instruction for product preparation

· Proficiently produce simple and complex components to the highest standards

· Use pressure-regulated air hoses to clean out product orifices 

· Connect fittings, hoses, and flanges to create sealed passages for the pressure testing of welds

· Safely operate pressure test equipment using water to test for leaks

· Perform, monitor, and teach routine maintenance and calibration of machines and equipment

· Assemble, connect, and set up flow benches for product testing via air or water

· Assemble product correctly using wrenches, sockets, torque wrenches, and other hand tools

· Apply thread sealants, seals, and lubricants as needed during assembly

· Demonstrate proficiency in flow-bench programming and software 

· Input all build data and accurately voucher time and materials into manufacturing software system

· Assist team in ensuring department production, efficiency, and safety goals are met

Quality Assurance – Inspection Preparation 

· Prepare product for dye penetrant testing; clean product afterward using water 

· Identify product by engraving serial numbers into unit per specifications

· Promote and meet Quality Policy and ISO standards and customer expectations 

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Receive and understand daily job assignments, priorities, and work instruction

· Meet production and quality performance metrics regularly and consistently

· Organize, clean, and maintain area tools, and equipment daily

· Assure all department work centers and related areas are safely maintained, clean, and organized

· Performs all work within the scope of abilities under all quality and safety policies and practices

· Establish and maintain effective, positive, and professional communication with all co-workers

· Willingly performs other duties as trained and able

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Must possess a verifiable high school diploma or equivalent (GED)
