Salary $55,320 - $76,618.
Key Responsibilities:
- Follow all established SOPs for Purchasing Department posted on SharePoint.
- Purchase the highest quality merchandise at the lowest price and in correct amounts.
- Prepare purchase orders with appropriate cost, delivery, and payment terms.
- Research and evaluate new vendors based on price, quality, selection, service, support, availability, reliability, delivery, and payment terms.
- Establish and maintain vendor relationships, visit vendor production facilities, and resolve vendor claims as they arise.
- Maintain raw material purchasing grids monthly, and monitor changes affecting supply and demand, tracking market conditions, price trends and raw material price indices.
- Cooperate with production, planning, shipping, receiving, warehousing, accounts payable, inventory/costing, and maintenance departments as needed.
- Assist with new product trials and cost reduction initiatives as needed.
Β Professional Experience:
- Must have at least 2 years of experience in purchasing or related fields
- Knowledge of manufacturing and production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing manufacture and distribution of goods.
Education and specialized skills profile:
- Bachelorβs Degree in related field with 2+ years of experience (5+ years of related experience may be considered in lieu of bachelorβs degree)
- ASCM certifications or documented progress towards certification a plus
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint necessary - SAP experience highly desirable

- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, but occasionally high in specific areas.

Linguistic Profile:

- Proficiency in German would enable interaction with another Procurement Manager in Swiss Krono Group (not required)
Mobility and Physical Requirement profile:
- Work location is Barnwell, SC, USA. This job operates in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to travel on short notice
- Travel up to 10%
