In business for over 16 years, Green Energy Biofuel LLC (GEB) is a recycling company that specializes in supplying biofuel feedstock to the largest biofuel producers in the world. Biofuels are derived from renewable organic materials, such as vegetable oils, animal fats, and recycled cooking oil, making them a more sustainable and environmentally friendly option compared to conventional fossil fuels.

Our primary focus is on collecting waste cooking oil from various sources, including restaurants, food manufacturers, and other establishments. Recently, GEB has expanded its services to include composting and depackaging to separate High Oil Yield (HOY) food waste from packaging to further assist food manufacturers in reduction of waste.

Our Aiken facility is looking to hire an experienced Class A, tanker endorsed, truck driver to service our clients’ used cooking oil needs in a safe and timely manner. The is a full-time position, day shift position.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform all duties in accordance with company policies and procedures, and comply with all federal, state, and local regulations for the safe operation of a commercial motor vehicle.
  • Ensure vehicles and equipment are clean, safe and kept in working order including knowledge of mechanics sufficient to make minor repairs while on the road.
  • Complete pre-trip and post trip inspections of vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues. Report Issues to management.
  • Ensure hoses and other equipment are well maintained and stored properly at all times and that needed tools and equipment are in truck prior to starting workday.
  • Maneuver truck into loading and unloading positions.
  • Collect used cooking oil (UCO) from clients, transport UCO to appropriate location for processing.
  • Report all accidents involving driver or company equipment immediately.
  • Ensure route documentation such as fuel purchases, mileage records, required by state and federal regulations are maintained, correct and complete.
  • Promptly report any delays due to breakdowns, weather or traffic conditions or other emergencies, or in the event of irregularities relating to loading or delivery of materials.
  • Complete daily trip log via ELD software and submit reports of mileage covered at the end of day.Β 
  • Assist with various plant projects and system operations at the plant when not driving.
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
  • At least two years CDL driving experience
  • Proven work experience as a commercial truck driver
  • Extensive knowledge of applicable DOT rules and regulations
  • valid CDL with Clean driving record
  • Willingness to submit to a background check and drug test
  • Ability to drive a truck with manual transmission
  • Tanker endorsement required
  • Adaptability and willingness to handle a variety of plant projects and system operations.
  • TWIC Card preferred.
  • Support and promote green initiatives
