Job Responsibilities

The Tri-County Technical College Arts and Science division is seeking collaborative, energetic, and innovative Chemistry Adjuncts. Reporting to the Director of Adjunct Faculty and Student Support, the successful candidates will teach courses using systematically planned and delivered instruction for the program; maintain records of student academic progress and attendance, evaluate level of achievement, and assign grades for the program. Teaching Assignments may include both day and evening classes, and at various Tri-County Technical  College community campuses within Anderson, Oconee, and Pickens counties.  Fall 2024 Semester  begins on August 12th, 2024..

Candidate must be able to teach on campus. 

Minimum and Additional Requirements

Candidates interested in teaching lab courses must possess at minimum a bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related field of study. Candidates interested in teaching lecture courses must possess at minimum a master's degree with 18 graduate hours in chemistry or a related field of study.  

Preferred Qualifications

Preference will be given to applicants with teaching experience in a community college; successful experience using a variety of active and collaborative learning strategies; experience implementing innovative assessments to measure student learning; and a demonstrated track record showing regular professional development around their teaching and the discipline.
