Position Summary:
The Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist is a highly skilled professional who uses specialized computerized x-ray equipment to produce cross sectional images of human anatomy which aid radiologists in diagnosing a wide variety of diseases and disorders. Technologist may perform radiographic procedures at a technical level requiring sound understanding of anatomical positioning and physiology; a high degree of technical competency and with the ability to act with initiative and ingenuity with minimal supervision.Β Apply ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis in adult and/or pediatric radiology as needed.Β Β Β Β

Applicable imaging departments assume βon callβ (CT Tech II) and holiday rotations on a regular basis.Β Imaging technologists are required to cover all outpatient and hospital locations as necessary and appropriate

Understand and utilize ALARA concepts and critical thinking, time management, effective communication, and proficiency in IV access for contrast media administration.
Physical Requirements: Medium Physical Agility Test (PAT) Rating
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently (activity or condition exists from 1/3 to 2/3 of the time) required to stand, sit, and walk; occasionally (activity or condition exists up to 1/3 of the time) to use hands, fingers; and frequently to talk or hear. The employee must exert 20 to 35 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 15 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
