Provides mechanical repair, routine maintenance, and installation services to the company’s van trailers occasional tractor work. This position requires a mechanic with knowledge, and experience to maintain all transportation fleet vehicles to meet DOT and state requirements for commercial class 8 tractors, trailers. Position represents the Company in a positive image working with our employees, customers, and community in a safe and ethical manner to achieve financial success.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

  • Responsible for inspection, repair, and preventative maintenance of the fleet of company vehicles in compliance with company and DOT standards.
  • Works with department personnel and management on parts, tires, and equipment needs required for heavy truck maintenance.
  • Required to sign off on the Driver's Vehicle Inspection reports that all repairs have been completed to meet DOT and company requirements.
  • Performs a variety of tasks associated with heavy vehicle maintenance and other duties as assigned by management.
  • Position may be required to perform roadside repairs as needed.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Requires a High School Diploma or GED.Β  Mechanic certification with 3 years mechanical experience.
