Description of Position
Β
The Field Service Technician will be responsible for repairing, diagnosing, inspecting, and maintaining various types of aerial and earth moving equipment, primarily servicing rentals and customer owned equipment.

Organizational Relationships
Β
The Field Service Technician reports to the Service Manager. Normal inside contacts will include all employees of TEC front office, shop, and field. Outside contacts will include existing clients, customers, and other related industry contacts.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
Β
Perform repairs, diagnostics, inspections, and overall maintenance of the companyβs equipment inventory.
Ensure safety, quality control, and environmental protection programs are followed throughout all services.
Demonstrate ability to read electrical and hydraulic schematics.
Proficiently utilize and leverage tools and solutions to accomplish tasks independently without direct supervision.
Proficiently complete thorough and accurate annual inspections.
Demonstrate knowledge of troubleshooting various equipment product lines.
Deliver excellent customer service and demonstrate high level communication skills; Foster and ensure cooperative and collaborative partner relationships; Maintain a positive attitude.
Requirements of the Position

Education and CertificationΒ β High school diploma or equivalent; Industrial, vocational, or mechanical training is a plus; Mechanical maintenance and/or equipment servicing certifications a plus
Β
Recommended Work ExperiencesΒ β Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a mechanic repairing and maintaining construction equipment; Minimum of 3 years of relevant driving experience; Valid driverβs license and satisfactory driving record; Knowledge of heavy equipment, specifically excavators, forklifts, and compactors

Physical DemandsΒ β Prolonged standing, sitting, walking, climbing, balancing, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching (with arms and hands), handling, talking, hearing, depth perception, lifting, vision (close, peripheral, depth, ability to adjust focus), and lifting/moving up to 35+ pounds
