Key Responsibilities:
- Safely and effectively operate the forklift to protect all property, including the building, equipment, and materials.
- Manage raw materials or finished goods with care, ensuring they are stacked safely and securely.
- Manage time effectively by arriving on time, taking proper breaks, and maintaining safe behaviors throughout the shift.
- Understand and utilize the warehouse management system and scanners for each transaction.
- Knowledgeable about warehouse processes and key procedures.
- Properly document and record transactions for raw material deliveries or outgoing shipments.
- Perform thorough daily inspections of the forklift before starting each shift.
- Alert the lead of any issues that may deviate from normal processes.
- Immediately escalate any safety concerns or unplanned incidents to the lead.
- Capable of troubleshooting operational issues as needed.
- Familiarity with warehouse structure, bin names, and special storage areas.
Β Professional Experience:
- Preferably 2 years of experience in distribution, manufacturing, or related fields.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience operating forklift trucks or equivalent skill set.
- Experience operating large forklifts (greater than 10,000 lbs.) or other heavy equipment is desirable. Previous use of warehouse management systems or receiving / loading preferred
Education and specialized skills profile:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Knowledge of SAP (preferred).
- Ability and aptitude to learn how to use JMC scanning computer mounted on forklift.
- Understanding of warehouse management systems and ability to operate according to guidelines.

- English language skills (oral and written) are necessary to successfully complete the appropriate scope of work.
Mobility and Physical Requirement profile:
- Work location is in Barnwell, primarily operating within a manufacturing environment.
- Manufacturing conditions are not climate controlled.
- The physical demands include sitting and operating a forklift for extended periods, along with regular requirements to talk, hear, stand, walk, and use hands/fingers, including small tools as needed.
- Must have adequate vision to see all safety signs, shipping documents, and materials packaging descriptions in an industrial/manufacturing light setting.
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. without assistance.
- This is a full-time position and may involve rotating day and night shifts.
