Job Summary:
The Maintenance Technician will perform a variety of activities in light and heavy duty equipment maintenance. The right candidate will be responsible for the maintenance of Coast RTAβs fleet of diesel and gas powered vehicles, including buses, body-on-chassis vehicles (paratransit vans) and all support vehicles. They will assist with related duties as acquired from the Maintenance Manager. This position is responsible for the safe and efficient operations of the machinery and supporting functions.

Duties/Responsibilities:
Required Skills/Education & Experience:
Technical certification(s) from ASE is preferred but not required, in house training offered.
Valid Class B CDL (Minimum) or permit obtained in 90 days.
Diesel engine repair: 2 years preferred.
Mechanical knowledge: 2 years preferred.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Read, interpret, understand, and apply technical manuals, schematics, diagrams, specifications, and parts catalog.
Weekend availability and coordination of the work and staff may be needed.
Must provide required tools for the job.
Physical Requirements (Maintenance and Drivers only):
Subject to wet, cold, and/or hot environmental conditions.
Subject to vehicle noise and vibration while operating transit vehicle.
Subject to vehicle exhaust fumes and odors, road dusts, and mist.
Able to lift at least 70lbs.
Occasional movements required to complete duties such as: bending, twisting, crouching, reaching, kneeling, climbing ladders, crawling under vehicles, etc.
