Physical Therapist Assistant (PRN)

Summary of Job: Under the direction of the Physical Therapist, the Physical Therapist Assistant shall implement specific physical therapy treatment programs for residents in a variety of settings according to accepted Physical Therapy practices and principles.

Reporting Relationship: The Physical Therapist Assistant will report to the Director of Rehabilitation.

Other Key Relationships: The Physical Therapist Assistant will consistently consult with the Physical Therapist to carry out treatment programs according to the plan of care. The Physical Therapist Assistant will directly supervise treatment carried out by Physical Therapist Assistant students.

Education: Associate Degree

Experience: Degree in Physical Therapist Assistant from an accredited program and currently licensed in the state of South Carolina as a Physical Therapist Assistant. One year of related experience in a senior living community or skilled nursing facility.

Skill: Ability to effectively communicate using advanced language skills. Ability to manage time and the work demands using analytic problem solving and critical thinking skills. Advanced computer skills and direct experience with programs including, Rehab Optima, Casamba, Point Click Care, Microsoft Office, etc.
