As a Physician with Proactive MD, you can concentrate your time and efforts on practicing comprehensive medicine, centered on the health and wellness of individuals, following your professional judgment in the most medically suitable manner.

JOB SUMMARY

Proactive MD contracts directly with forward-thinking employers who wish to provide their employees and dependents with high-quality healthcare in the form of a dedicated Provider practice model within their facility. The Primary Care Physician promotes optimum health, prevents illness and injury, and manages acute and chronic health problems for all the plan members.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee/provide patient-centered comprehensive, primary care services at the Health and Wellness Center including:

  • Performing episodic, preventive, and/or primary health care

  • Developing personalized treatment plans in collaboration with patients

  • Conducting physical exams, health-risk assessments, and history reviews

  • Maintain Electronic Medical Records.

  • Provide referrals to appropriate medical resources or specialty providers as needed.

  • Participates in the development of annual Health and Wellness Center goals and objectives.

  • Provides clinical leadership to medical assistant, patient advocate (embedded case management), and clinicaldirector to ensure a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

  • Supports, leads, and models the vision, mission, and values of the company.

Qualifications

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

REQUIRED:

  • Graduation of residency training from accredited institution

  • Current and valid state medical license

  • Board certification or eligibility in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.

  • Must have current state and federal DEA certification.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills

  • Ability to communicate effectively and maintain working relationships with people from diverse backgrounds.

  • Knowledge and experience in Electronic Medical Records, Athena experience a plus.

  • Knowledge of the healthcare industry and available patient resources

  • Knowledge of HIPAA confidentiality requirements

  • Current BLS or ACLS certification

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This job primarily operates in a medical office environment. The physical demands to perform the essential functions of this job are:

  • Effective communication, mobility, ability to operate office equipment and travel intermittently throughout the day.

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position at their work area for prolonged periods of time.

  • Employees will occasionally be required to lift office products and supplies up to 50 pounds.

POSITION TYPE & EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

This is a full-time position, and office hours vary by facility.

TRAVEL

Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected.
