RN Med Surg Part Time Nights Position Summary:Β 

The Registered Nurse provides direct patient care to include assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of assigned patients. The RN collaborates with other professional disciplines to ensure effective patient care delivery and achievement of desired patient outcomes.Β

THE RN MED SURG PART TIME NIGHTS CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWINGβ€―EDUCATION, LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE.Β

Minimum Licensure and Certification: A valid Permanent Multi-State RN License from the state in which you reside is required. Should you hold a RN license from another Compact state, you are required to apply for and obtain a Multi-State RN License from the state in which you reside within 30 days. BLS required.

Minimum Experience/Additional Certification: Each candidate’s previous clinical experience is reviewed to determine acceptable experience.


Responsibilities

The RN provides high-quality, safe, cost-effective, total nursing care to all patients. The RN assumes responsibility for overall coordination and integration of patient care based on the nursing process. The RN directs care according to established standards of safety, risk management, QI, and Infection Control, with the goal being to discharge the patient with an optimum level of care provided. Assumes responsibility for coordination and planning of patient care within the prescribed medical regime. Administers all medications safely and in a timely manner per hospital policy. Performs and fulfills all HICS (hospital incident command system) responsibilities, assignments, tasks, and roles as directed and needed by the facility in times of emergency and/or disaster. Responsible for knowing the Hospital’s emergency codes, including the purpose and appropriate action for each, and adheres to the Hospital policies and procedures for each emergency code. Β  Β Β 



Qualifications

Education:

Required: Graduated from a state approved school of nursing or an accredited school.
Preferred: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nursing

Experience:

Preferred: Recent acute care experience.

Certifications:

Required: Currently licensed, certified, or registered to practice profession as required by law, regulation in state of practice or policy; CPR. AHA BLS, and if applicable by corporate policy for unit of hire, AHA ACLS and/or PALS and/or NRP.
