SC - Mechanic (Heavy Equipment) (Greenville, SC)

Full time, hourly position. Candidate is a skilled heavy vehicle, diesel and mobile equipment mechanic with the ability to diagnose most problems and perform the appropriate repairs. Fabricate to complete repairs.  This position routinely requires moderate to extreme physical exertion and may require prolonged standing, bending, kneeling, squatting and working in awkward positions. You will be exposed to extreme weather conditions, dust, dirt and shop environment, as well as traffic during road calls.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

Diesel Mechanic Duties:

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair diesel engines and related systems.
• Utilize diagnostic tools and software to identify and fix engine malfunctions.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance and repair work.

Fabrication Duties:

• Measure, cut, shape, and assemble metal components to create custom parts and structures.
• Operate and maintain fabrication equipment, including saws, grinders, and drill presses.
• Ensure all fabricated parts meet quality and safety standards.

Welding Duties:

• Weld metal components together according to specifications and blueprints.
• Inspect welds for quality and ensure they meet safety standards.
• Repair and maintain metal structures and equipment through welding.
• Follow all safety protocols and guidelines during welding operations.
