Job Location:

Spartanburg, SC (100% on site role).


Compensation:

$75K/yr to $95K/yr (depending on experience). There will also be an up to 8% bonus package.


Candidate Requirements:

This role is ONLY open to US Citizens. Permanent Residents (Green Card Holders) and any other work authorizations are NOT permitted here as this role requires eligibility to obtain a secret clearance (a secret clearance is only open to US Citizens). To be clear, a clearance isn’t required to start (you just must be eligible to obtain one eventually). Due to the nature of this role (working for a defense contractor tied to the federal government) – candidates will need to pass a drug screen (which will include cannabis). There are no exceptions to this (eg: a medical card).

Job Description:

HRU Technical Resources has partnered with a major defense contractor and specialty vehicle manufacturer to hire a SCADA/MES Development & Support Analyst. In this role, will be responsible for developing, enhancing, and supporting the SCADA (Ignition) and MES (Sepasoft) applications for Spartanburg NGDV assembly. You will support both SCADA/MES enhancements and daily production system uptime.


Your Impact:

  • Execute SCADA/MES development and configuration needs
  • Conduct SCADA/MES operator training
  • Provide on-hands Production support for SCADA/MES system to ensure it is online during 1st shift
  • Collaborate with internal/external personnel in the design, development, and implementation of integration enhancements with PLCs, JDE, and other systems
  • Support the development of functional specifications, test cases, and design documentation
  • Support the development of controls standards for NGDV
  • Analyze system performance and suggest or make improvements, where applicable
  • Oversee protection of SCADA/MES environment and ensures data security and integrity by helping establish operational guidelines including privacy, security, editing, validating and restart/recovery controls
  • Develop and modify SCADA/MES Systems, including Tag Database generation, report development, computer setup and configuration
  • Assistance in the deployment of technology other than SCADA/MES will also be expected
  • These duties are not meant to be all-inclusive and other duties may be assigned.


Requirements:

  • Candidates MUST have a minimum of a high school diploma or GED. Higher level education is welcome.
  • 2+ years of experience in the field or in a related area (related to SCADA/MES).
  • Development, documentation, process flows, manage multiple tasks, ITSM, troubleshooting, configuration skills
  • Written and verbal communication, customer service, stakeholder alignment, relationship building skills


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Information Technology or related field
  • Development and support experience with Ignition and Sepasoft
  • Working knowledge of Rockwell PLCs or Siemens PLCs, OPC-UA, and MQTT protocols
  • Experience with Python, Java, Jython, C, C+, C++, Visual Basic, SQL. etc.
  • Proficient with Windows Servers


Work Environment, Other Info:

  • 3rd shift role (8:30pm to 5:00am EST).
  • This will be a 100% on site role in Spartanburg, SC (no remote work).
  • There may be occasional travel as needed, but this will be rare (10% or less).
