Summary:

The Senior ABA Therapist is responsible for providing individual treatment for children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorders and/or other behavioral and social/communication challenges using Applied Behavior Analysis principles. They implement learning programs under the direct supervision of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst.

Responsibilities:

  • In preparation for client sessions, reviews treatment plan goals, program write-ups, prints and reviews data sheets, sets-up work station, and gathers child specific materials needed to run each client's program (toys, games, reinforcers, etc.).
  • Runs individual, group and school shadowing sessions with clients, following treatment plan goals and interventions. Gathers behavioral data to track progress in reaching behavioral objectives identified in the treatment plan. Seeks out appropriate consultation/supervision during session.
  • Summarizes client session data and enters data into client files.
  • Reviews session notes and data with BCBAs and informs them of any changes noted with client. Provides feedback regarding modifications to the plan based on child's response during sessions.
  • Communicates frequently with interdisciplinary team members and parents to keep them informed of client's needs, behaviors or issues.
  • Participates in quarterly events.
  • Special projects and tasks, as required.
