Senior Planning Associate

MRB Group is a multi-disciplined, high-energy engineering, architecture and planning firm where creativity and innovation are valued. We are currently recruiting for a Senior Planning Associate to join our growing team in our Charleston, South Carolina office.

Essential Communication and Professional Skills

Candidate will be responsible for client and project development, and will represent the firm in meetings and conferences with clients, regulatory agencies, and with officials of other organizations. Candidate must have experience and background with municipal planning, and be familiar with municipal organizational structure and operations, roles, and responsibilities. Candidates must be able to understand the development review process, comprehend typical site plans and elevations and must possess a strong ability to translate from maps, plans and engineering documents into descriptive written communication and public presentations in laymen's terminology. Candidate should have the ability to create and communicate conceptual designs. Only candidates with the ability to demonstrate exceptional problem solving and communication skills, both written and oral, will be considered. Public speaking, presentation skills, and interactions with clients, community residents, municipal staff and elected officials will be expected.
