***This position requires the ability to obtain a security clearance, which requires applicants to be a U.S. Citizen. ***

Position Purpose: Promote effective quality management system in accordance with ISO 9001:2015 standards through maintenance of control of documents program, coordination and participation in internal ISO system and process audits and monitoring corrective, preventative, and/or improvement actions. Facilitate meetings and/or provides training in related areas. Utilizing ISO standards, process review, and input from various operations sources, makes recommendations for improvement.

Logistics: This position will be fully onsite located at 8733 Highway 17 Bypass, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina 29575.

What You’ll Do:

  • Internal ISO audits - Coordinates and/or conducts internal ISO audits. Schedules and provides documentation needed for effective internal audit planning and delivery. Facilitates timely reporting of team audit findings for finalization and management review. Schedules and conducts focus audits or reviews of practice against work instructions and details findings in audit report format. Serves as lead auditor for internal teams.

  • Corrective, preventive, and/or improvement action requests - Monitors status of corrective, preventive, and/or improvement actions to ensure accurate and timely updates. Facilitates meetings of cross functional preventive and corrective teams. Assists management in developing detailed action plans including the identification of appropriate proofs. Enters Corrective Action Request/Preventive Action Request (CAR/PAR) detail and status reports in access database. Tracks response and timeliness and communicates update needs with management. Maintains related quality records and ensures adequate proofs are provided to verify actions taken.

  • Process support - Reviews and assists management in developing documentation to support processes. Provides drafts of documents, reports, and analysis of data as needed.

  • Control of documents - Ensures documents meet ISO 9001:2015 standards and internal requirements for approval and adequacy. Facilitates the submission, approval notification, and communication of updates to documents through the internal document adequacy review process. Uses findings from internal audits and routine document submissions to identify problems or trends in the control of documents.

  • Collects data, analyzes, and reports as needed to support processes of quality management system and makes recommendations from improvement activities.

  • External audit support - Coordinates with the planning and organization of the documentation needed for external ISO audits. Provide support to management and staff in preparing for audits.

  • Management review - Assists with the scheduling and collection of all documentation needed for the management review meetings and note taking and recordkeeping as required.

  • Training - Facilitates or co-facilitates training in components of the quality management system and ISO 9001:2015 requirements. Develops training as requested by management.

To Qualify for This Position, You’ll Need:

Required Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree

Degree Equivalency:

  • Associate degree plus 2 years of job-related work experience for a total of 3 years required experience (Healthcare, health insurance, or service industry quality management systems (such as ISO 9000, TQM, six sigma, or Baldridge criteria) and/or data analysis or project management experience).

OR

  • 5 years of job-related work experience (mentioned above).

Required Work Experience:

  • 1 years any combination of related work experience as described in the Degree Equivalency.

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to present information on the intranet.

  • Strong research, analytical, planning, and data gathering skills.

  • Knowledge of process-based approaches to service industry practice.

  • Knowledge of ISO system elements and/or Total Quality Management (TQM).

  • Understanding of auditing principles and application of process audit in a team-based environment.

  • Ability to complete internal ISO audit training and demonstrate competency within 1 year.Β Β Β Β 

Required Software and Tools:

  • Microsoft Office.

What we Prefer you to have:

  • Previous QMS/ISO experience or in a user area or division supported by this position.

  • Prior experience with web or intranet (HTML or similar).

  • Process and product measurement.

  • Demonstrated ability to positively promote the impact of an effective quality management system.

Preferred Licenses and Certificates:

  • Master Trainer, DDI Facilitator, or similar certification.

  • Current designation/certification by a recognized quality management certification group such as Six Sigma designation, American Society for Quality (ASQ) certification, or Registrar Accreditation Board (RAB) certification.

Work Environment:

  • Must be able to travel to other sites as needed.

  • Primary work hours are day shift and on-site

  • Must be able to shift work hours to the primary hours of those being audited.
