Description

Essential Job Responsibilities/Expectations

  • Job responsibilities include those listed in competencies document
  • Maintains a professional image and exhibits excellent customer relations to patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers in accordance with our Service Excellence Standards and Core Values.
  • Operates ultrasound equipment to produce images of body for diagnostic purposes, as directed by physician and according to established standards and practices; ensures all regulatory standards are met; and performs administrative responsibilities necessary to maintain accreditation by the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine.
  • Reports clinically to the physician and clinical supervisor if applicable. Reports appropriate administrative concerns to the office manager.

Job Requirements

Licenses/Certifications/Registrations/Education:

  • Must be graduate of an accredited school of Radiology or formal Diagnostic Medical Sonography ProgramΒ 
  • Active Certification by American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS); current compliance with Continuing Medical Education (CME) requirements for specialty as appropriate
