Must meet the State of South Carolina requirements for an unarmed private security officer
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
Must have a valid driver’s license
Must have the ability to pass extensive background check, including criminal history check, employment, and education verification, and meet requirements for access to sensitive information
Must pass the following post-offer/pre-employment testing in accordance with assigned site requirements/regulations:
Work extended hours
Work alone while unarmed
Work and perform under stress
Work in adverse weather
Stop, question, and detain individuals
Respond to emergencies with unplanned strenuous physical activity
Climb stairs in an emergency
Lift up to 25 pounds
Sit or stand alone for at least two hours
Ability to function in emergencies and unusual environments.
The examinee shall demonstrate stability and capacity for the following:
Mental alertness and emotional stability
Acuity of senses; ability of expression to allow rapid, accurate communication by spoken, written, audible, visible, or tactile signals
Physique, stamina, motor power, range of motion, and dexterity to allow safe execution of duties.
