The role of campus Faculty members is to engage students, foster learning, role model professionalism, and ultimately produce competently trained students prepared for professional careers.

 MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- 4 years of professional experience in the field
- Must have a Certificate as a Professional Massage Therapy but an Associate’s Degree is preferred.
- Licensed in South Carolina or North Carolina

BUSINESS CONTRIBUTIONS: Faculty and instructional staff are responsible for leveraging their expertise to deliver education services to students through:Â
- Delivering course lecturesÂ
- Facilitating student engagementÂ
- Working one-on-one with studentsÂ
- Assessing students and providing developmental feedbackÂ
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Â
Â
Prepare Course Plans and Materials:Â
- Review Course Control Document (CCD)Â
- Prepare syllabusÂ
- Create lesson plansÂ
- Create exams, quizzes, and projects/assignmentsÂ
- Coordinate with librarian and bookstore for availability of materialsÂ
Â
Deliver Courses:Â
- Administer pre-test/post-testÂ
- Deliver lectures/facilitate labsÂ
- Grade projects and examsÂ
- Provide progress reports/mid-term feedbackÂ
- Maintain grade bookÂ
- Enforce policies (attendance, dress code, no food and drink…)Â
Â
Monitor Progress/Attendance:Â
- Monitor student progress and follow-up as neededÂ
- Take daily attendance and enforce attendance policyÂ
- Follow-up with students who miss a class (phone calls)Â
- Report attendance issues to the DeanÂ
Advise Students:Â
- Answer student questionsÂ
- Be available for one-on-one assistance/tutoringÂ
Record Grades and Submit Reports:Â
- Maintain grade booksÂ
- Adhere to departmental grading policiesÂ
- Provide Dean with weekly reportsÂ
- Provide students with mid-term evaluationsÂ
- Submit final gradesÂ
Other Duties – Adjunct and Full-time Faculty:Â
- Monitor equipment and supply needsÂ
- Maintain classroomÂ
- Maintain any relevant licensures and certificationsÂ
- Seek out an approved substitute in case of faculty member’s need for absenceÂ
- Participate in graduation ceremoniesÂ
- Work with Dean, Associate Dean, and other Faculty on retention plans and programs Â
Other Duties – Full-time Faculty:Â
- Attend campus faculty meetingsÂ
- Work with Program CoordinatorsÂ
- Participate in committees and knowledge sharing forumsÂ
- Prepare for and participate in convocationÂ

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:Â
The physical demands are those required in a professional office setting and higher education teaching environment: communicating with coworkers, presenting to a classroom of students (virtual classrooms for on-line), demonstrating procedures and techniques, and getting to and from appropriate classes and offices.Â

This position is an onsite position located at your campus unless otherwise determined by the Executive Director and/or designee. Any changes must be reviewed by the Campus President and all final approvals must come from the Executive Director and/or designee.Â
