Assistant Professor of English (Tenure Track)

The Department of English and Communications in the College of Education, Humanities, and Social Sciences invites applications for a full-time, nine-month, tenure-track Assistant Professor of English position to begin in Fall 2025.  The ideal candidate will have the ability to work with a diverse student population and a commitment to inclusivity in the classroom and in the campus community. 

Description of Duties and Responsibilities: 

• teaching a 4/4 load of freshman writing courses and sophomore to senior literature courses.
• advising and mentoring students in the English program.
• maintaining a scholarly research agenda that includes conference presentations and publications.
• serving on department, college, and/or university committees,
• participating in mandatory department, college, and university events.
