Position Summary

We're looking for an enthusiastic, hands-on CafΓ© Manager to oversee the daily operations of our cafΓ©. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys creating a welcoming atmosphere, leading a team, and delivering an outstanding experience for every guest. The CafΓ© Manager will be responsible for ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, maintaining high standards of food service and hospitality, and supporting the growth and development of cafΓ© staff.


Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operation of the cafΓ©, including opening and closing procedures, food and beverage service, cleanliness, and overall appearance.
  • Be an active presence on the floor, supporting team members and ensuring excellent service during busy periods.
  • Address guest questions, concerns, and feedback in a professional and positive manner.
  • Create and maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment for guests and staff.
  • Train, coach, schedule, and develop cafΓ© team members.
  • Lead by example and jump in wherever needed to support cafΓ© operations.
  • Monitor sales, labor costs, food costs, inventory, and other operational performance measures.
  • Manage product ordering and inventory levels to ensure adequate supply while reducing waste.
  • Work closely with leadership to meet operational goals and support the cafΓ©'s financial success.
  • Ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, health department, and company policies and procedures.

Required Education & Experience

  • Associate degree (or equivalent experience) in Hospitality, Foodservice Management, Business, or a related field.
  • ServSafe Manager Certification required.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of management experience in a cafΓ©, coffeehouse, bakery-cafΓ©, or retail foodservice environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Culinary Arts degree.
  • Four (4) or more years of management experience in a cafΓ© or retail foodservice operation.
  • Advanced POS and technology skills.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills.
