Director of Business Development Position:Β  The Obtelecare Director of Business Development (β€œDBD”) is a results-driven healthcare sales professional with proven success in growing brand recognition and securing strategic partnerships in the telemedicine space. Skilled in identifying new market opportunities through cold outreach and relationship-building, while cultivating strong ties with existing hospital networks, the Obtelecare DBD will lead the Obtelecare sales cycleβ€”from initial opportunity development to proposal delivery and contract closureβ€”by strategically coordinating with both regional teams and corporate leadership.

  • Β Business Development Capabilities
    • Continually cultivates relationships with prospective hospitals, health systems and physician groups through market outreach
    • Leverages existing OBHG relationships – existing hospital partners and connections made by hospitalist sales team – to identify potential customers for Obtelecare
    • Successfully sells next steps and utilizes relationships to identify and create viable partnership opportunities
    • Identifies, develops and manages opportunities that result in new OBHG partnerships, with support from SVP Strategic Partnerships and SVP Telehealth Services for proposals and closing
    • Meets or exceeds new partnership goals
    • Performs deep dives into market dynamics; partners with SVPSP on strategies to penetrate and with Business Development Coordinator to document in CRM
    • Educates hospital administration, physician groups and systems on Obtelecare’s unique value proposition, cultivates buy-in and creates advocacy
    • Conducts research, telephone and email outreach activities, and in market meetings to open new opportunities for growth, including outreach to hospital C-suite, Directors of Women’s Services, physician groups, and other stakeholders.
  • Industry Acumen
    • Expertise in the OB/GYN service line with focus on MFM, hospital organizational dynamics, market regulatory environment and market specific dynamics
    • Maintains a high level of product knowledge – OBHGs unique value proposition, Obtelecare’s model and competitor product offerings and market presence
    • Ensures continued personal development by attending company-sponsored training or seminars and classes offered outside of the company
  • Strategic Expertise
    • Partners with SVPSP to develop strategies to penetrate untapped, dormant and underdeveloped markets and systems
    • Collaborates cross-functionally to cultivate and grow a business network within the OB/GYN field and capitalize on that network to identify viable opportunities
    • Identifies market needs and trends and uses them effectively in business development outreach efforts
    • Collaborates with Marketing in development of marketing strategies and go-to-market initiatives
    • Wisely utilizes Company leadership – both within the BDT and among our Executive Leadership Team and physician leaders – as effective resources in cultivating and developing opportunities

Essential Skills/Credentials/Experience/Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, health care or related field
  • 3 years of successful sales experience – preferably in health care
  • At least 1 year of outside sales experience, preferrably
  • Able to work independently
  • Excellent oral communication skills, ability to cultivate face to face relationships and overcome objections
  • Strong written communication skills
  • Strong working knowledge of CRM, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook

Β Preferred Skills/Credentials/Experience/Education

  • Prior experience in marketing high-dollar healthcare staffing solutions
  • Proven track-record of successful sales experience and effective prospective client relationship-building

Annual Compensation: $135,000 - $145,000 + target commission plan.Β
