Ensure safety of all assigned employees. Implement siteβs safety program and predict / eliminate injuries. Comply with all federal state, and local regulations (EPA, OSHA, FDA, GMP, etc)
Manage day-to-day activities of site electrical and instrument personnel.
Coordinate with operations to ensure equipment is available for maintenance in advance of due dates.
Document completion of task / PM in siteβs MMS systems and databases daily.
Monitor operation of plant controls systems to minimize unplanned downtime.
Report and investigate accidents and incidents to site supervision.
Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
Managing day-to-day activities of the electrical maintenance group
Safe completion of mechanical integrity tasks,
Ensuring safety / process instrumentation function testing, calibration, repair, and documentation are performed in accordance with company policies and procedures
Compliance with preventative maintenance tasks as related to the siteβs PM system (including FDA related PM tasks)
Electronic documentation of maintenance activities related to mechanical integrity (critical interlocks) or preventative maintenance in the siteβs MMS databases
Troubleshooting and repair of site DCS systems
Essential Functions:
Must be capable of lifting containers weighing up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to evacuate the plant, reporting to appropriate assigned muster point, in the event of an emergency or drill.
Must be capable of working in adverse weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, etc.).
Must be able to use equipment within its design limits (weight limit on a ladder, for example).
Must be able to work from heights (including elevated platform, scaffolds, lifts and ladders).
Must be able to work in an environment where chemical odors may exist at permissible threshold limits of exposure.
Must be able to climb and descend stairs and ladders.
Must be able to safely handle hazardous chemicals on a regular basis.
Requirements
Education/Experience Requirements:
Associate degree in industrial electrical and instrumentation technology.
Documented technical training in areas of electrical (480V and less) and industrial instrumentation / automation required.
7 yearsβ experience with safety instrumented systems (SIS), safety integrity levels (SILs), and safety instrument functions (SIFs) including IEEE 61511 compliance.
10 years of instrument and electrical leadership experience.
