Job Objective:
Doffs rolls of cloth off the take up and replace with empty tube, prepares paperwork, transports cloth to grading frame using battery operated hand truck.
- Safely operates battery powered hand truck
- Doffs full roll of cloth from take-up and replaces with empty tube
- Records loom #, date, etc. on paperwork
- Transports cloth roll to grading frame
- Stamps cloth with appropriate shift at end of each day, being careful not to spill ink on floor, cloth
- Checks warps on all looms before doffing big rolls. Must not doff these if they are about to warp out.
- Follows safety rules prescribed by the Harris Plant
- Works safely around moving parts
- Reads basic written instructions and writes legibly
- Understands verbal instructions
- Distinguishes colors in stock-in-process and waste
- Wears ear plugs/muffs, respirator/dust mask, goggles/eye protection, and other protective pieces of equipment
Schedule:
- 1st and 2nd shift M-F (no weekends)
