Job Title

Housekeeper - must be available to work weekends


Job purpose


The mission of the Carolina Yacht Club is to provide first class facilities, to ensure the highest standards of sanitation, safety, comfort and aesthetics, as well as creating a clean and orderly environment for our members that will become a standard in maintaining and strengthening our reputation. We pride our self on our integrity and attention to detail in all areas of the club.


Areas includes: dining areas, ballrooms, employee areas, corridors, stairs, silver items, windows, doors - no rooms / no kitchens


Duties and responsibilities

  1. To come to work in the appropriate uniform and on time with given schedule
  2. Keeping all common areas clean and free of debris
  3. Maintaining all club restrooms and keeping them stocked with essentials
  4. Responsible for taking trash out in all administrative officesΒ Β 
  5. Responsible for light housekeeping throughout office areasΒ 
  6. Vacuuming all dining rooms before member arrival of lunch and dinner service
  7. Mopping hardwood/tile floors before member arrival
  8. Responsible for upkeep of laundry and washing/drying towels in a timely mannerΒ 
  9. Polishing brass/silver trophiesΒ 
  10. Dusting picture frames, paintings, artifacts daily
  11. Responsible for reporting supply needs to manager
  12. Must be able to lift 25lbs
  13. Must be able to work on your feet for long periods at a time Β 
  14. Responsible for stocking all back areas where supply is kept
  15. Must be respectful with all member interaction that is encounteredΒ Β 
  16. Able to multi task and plan ahead to complete tasks in a timely fashionΒ 
  17. Should show initiative when seeing things that need to be accomplished without being toldΒ 


Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • Exposure to loud noise levels and chemicals.Β 
  • Frequent lifting, bending, climbing, stooping and pulling.Β 
  • Continuous standing and walking.
