Summary of the Position:
The Marketing Manager will lead the planning and execution of all downstream marketing initiatives across the veterinary channel with the goal of driving increased sales and share expansion. The scope of this role includes strategic planning, channel enablement, program development and oversight, and commercialization of key new products within the channel. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in animal healthcare or the veterinary sciences industry.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Translate channel strategy into plans, projects, promotions, and programs in collaboration with brand and sales.
- Ensure success of annual channel plans by partnering on product and program commercialization while monitoring associated KPIs to track results.
- Proactively identify opportunities for new channel programs to drive revenue and share expansion.
- Plan and execute integrated campaigns that reinforce the brand message and drive demand generation.
- Develop, oversee and manage annual budgets for marketing and advertising initiatives ensuring efficient allocation of resources to maximize the impact of media partnerships and promotional activity.
- Identify strategic marketing opportunities with key channel partners to build brand loyalty and generate advocacy.
- Develop distributor & corporate clinic programing including pricing and growth incentives.
- Execute consistent VOC outreach to deeply understand distributor and veterinary clinic needs and drive development of tools/programs that make it easier to do business and grow sales.
- Communicate value proposition of products and develop sales tools including product collateral to support the selling process.
- Develop and implement clinic merchandising and display programs
- Monitor and compile competitive activity including new product introductions, promotions and other incentives and programs.
- Work with sales and marketing to devise strategy to mitigate and monitor channel conflict.
- Build efficiencies across channels by removing waste, driving economies of scale, and simplifying processes.
Minimum Requirements:
- Channel partnership experience that includes fostering key relationships, measuring results, and driving shared accountability with distributors.
- Strategic planning experience with full idea-to-execution oversight.
- Demonstrated successful ability to build positive partnerships and work collaboratively with cross-functional business teams.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Experience within animal or human healthcare, medical device, or a related life sciences industry
- 5+ years of marketing and/or sales experience
