Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for ensuring employee training, providing detailed performance expectations, and ongoing coaching.
  • Ensure a work environment and work practices that place safety at the forefront of every activity.
  • Responsible for keeping work areas clean and orderly.
  • Directs the movement of raw materials and components for all manufacturing including soft chews (SC3) and tablets (SC1)Β 
  • Supervises and coordinates the work of all material handlers on all shifts and shipping clerks at (SC1) and (SC3)
  • Oversees the utilization and proper working conditions of hand trucks, fork lifts, hoists and all other equipment used to move materials and components.
  • Prepares work schedules, assigns work, and assures that jobs are adequately and efficiently staffed to support the manufacturing schedule.
  • Ensures compliance to cGMP regulations and company policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for inventory accuracy of all raw materials and components.
  • Develop skills necessary to leverage SAP and Excel, to support the inventory and warehouse functions.
  • Professionally communicate with all Nutramax associates while driving continuous improvement in the inventory and warehousing disciplines.
  • May require some travel if needed.
  • In addition, individual will organize work to achieve daily goals and adhere to Safety Precautions and guidelines.
  • Regular attendance is required.
  • Perform other assigned duties as may be required in meeting company objectivesΒ 
  • Communicate effectively with other departments within the organization and function within a team environment.
Requirements

Minimum Requirements: Β Previous supervisor experience. Knowledge of material warehouse storage and movement. Warehouse/forklift experience is needed. Regularly required to stand, frequently required to use hands and arms to lift and reach and must be able to move drums up to 100 lbs.Β 

Education and Experience: Β College degree preferred or 3 years in a warehouse supervisory role.

  • Enforce Safe Work Practices: It's the supervisor’s responsibility to enforce safe work practices and procedures; failure to do Β Β Β Β Β so is an invitation for accidents to occur. Workers must be encouraged to identify unsafe or unhealthful workplace conditions or hazards.Β 
  • Correct Unsafe Conditions: Supervisors' must take immediate steps to correct unsafe or unhealthful workplace conditions or Β Β Β Β Β hazards within their authority and ability to do so. When an unsafe or unhealthful workplace condition or hazard cannot be immediately corrected, the supervisor must take temporary precautionary measures. Supervisors must follow-up to ensure that corrective measures are completed in a timely manner to address the hazard.
  • Prevent Lingering Unsafe or Unhealthful Workplace Conditions or Hazards: It's the supervisor's responsibility to train and periodically remind employees of what to look for and how to correct or report unsafe conditions or hazards. If a hazard is identified, the supervisor must act to correct.
  • Incidents Reporting: Immediately ensure 1st aid is provided by a ERT member and ensure there is no immediate danger to Β Β Β Β Β others. Arrange additional medical treatment for the employee if necessary. Provide emergency transportation, if needed. Notify additional rescue/response teams if necessary.Β 
  • Immediately notify EHS for employees seeking medical treatment for work related incidents. Ensure employee completes their sections of the safety incident report.Β 
  • Complete the incident report and email to Incident Response before the end of your shift. Begin incident investigation Secure the scene. Keep it unchanged to accurately collect the facts. Obtain photos if needed.Β 
  • Coordinate with EHS to form a cross functional team to perform 5 WHY - Root Cause investigation – Other investigation tools may be utilized for more complicated investigations. Corrective action(s) will be agreed upon by the cross functional team based on the root cause. Once the investigation is complete and agreed upon by the cross functional team, email the completed investigation to Incident Reporting
