Job Responsibilities

路 Follows established phlebotomy procedures for obtaining samples from patients.

路 Properly and accurately identify all patients daily according to AHA鈥檚 phlebotomy patient identification policy prior to facilitating proper collection.

路 Ensures that specimens are properly labeled, in the proper tube, and accompanied by a completed requisition, prior to transport.

路 Follows AHA鈥檚 phlebotomy policy on transporting PHI.

路 Maintain and present a positive attitude and concern for patient and staff safety, quality patient care; consistently demonstrate these attributes in consideration of time-sensitive blood draw requirements.

路 Must understand and be knowledgeable of the resident rights, patient care, and patient鈥檚 right to refuse.

路 Ability to obtain blood specimens from patients under a variety of patient conditions.

路 Works cooperatively with dispatch, payroll, laboratory, and courier departments.

路 Must possess knowledge of medical terminology as it relates to laboratory purposes.

路 Knowledge of required specimen preservation, adequate patient preparation and specimen procedures.

路 Must be able to work under minimal supervision and accurately maintain time sheet records.

路 Maintains all equipment in good working orders and reports problems immediately to supervisor.

路 When on duty, answers company issued mobile device promptly, checks-in and checks-out of client facilities always, and is ready and available to work.

路 Completes and timely submits written logs, time sheets, and other required records in a neat and accurate manner.

路 Must have a current and valid Driver鈥檚 License and required Auto Insurance.

路 Must have a reliable vehicle in good working condition suitable to meet daily driving requirements.

路 Must maintain a good driving record.

路 Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks; take directions and conduct self in a professional manner always.

Requirements

聽Requirements

路 High school diploma or equivalent, required.

路 Minimum of 1 year of phlebotomy work experience required.

路 Valid state-issued Driver License; must be at least 21 years old.

路 Clean driving record for last 5-years; own reliable transportation, must provide proof of required auto insurance coverage (100/300/100).

路 Clean criminal history, as required for positions with direct patient care; some states require additional background checks including fingerprinting.

路 Phlebotomy Certification from an accredited training school or equivalent, preferred.

路 Home Draws: Minimum of 3 years of phlebotomy work experience required; additional credentialing requirements must be successfully completed prior to working on our Home Draw team!

路 Must possess a passion for SAFETY and CUSTOMER SERVICE.
